A surreal night occurred this weekend as David Beckham played his first game as a member of the L.A. Galaxy. The night wasn't known for its soccer, but instead all the media attention surrounding the game -- arguably the most ever for a soccer game in the U.S. A red carpet was laid outside the stadium and the stars included Arnold Schwarzenegger, Eva Langoria, Katie Holmes, Wayne Gretzky, Kevin Garnett, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and of course Victoria Beckham.

Due to an ankle injury suffered a month earlier, Beckham did not play until the 78th minute. Even from the bench, he seemed very engaged in the match against Chelsea. The Home Depot Center boasted a sell-out crowd of 27,000.
