Farez Release Debut Album 'Persianality'
It's been a long road for Farez, who have just released their new debut album Persianality. They started off in Atlanta with the goal of creating revolutionary hip-hop music by rapping both in Farsi and in English. Together, Milad, Hafez, and Kamyar, formed Farez and started out with a bang with their hit song "Yek Doh Seh". Alongside its popular Internet video, "Yek Doh Seh" gave Farez the buzz they needed to enter the mainstream Persian industry.
The result is a eleven song album featuring Andy & Kouros, Shahrum K, Sepideh, Shahrzad Sepanlou, Farshid Amin, Mohamad, and Mahsa. Persianality features production work from Elton Farokh Ahi (known for being an influence in the careers of Andy & Kouros, Siavash, and Mansour) as well as Tapesh TV's Alireza Amirghassemi. The rest of the work has been done almost exclusively by Farez as they've written most of all the lyrics as well as having Hafez create much of the musical beats.
The first single from Persianality was "Aamar" (featuring Sepideh), which was released nearly nine months ago. There's also the hits "Persianality", "Niloufar", and "Rah Raftanet", which are available for you to hear and request on the radio.
