Persian Calligraphy Meets Abstract Modern Painting
Persian Calligraphy is one our beautiful Iranian art forms, and it dates back to well over 1000 years ago. It is universally appreciated and enjoyed by those who can read the beautiful scripts and those who don't even speak or read Farsi at all.
Through a joint effort between Iranian Calligrapher Majid Roohafza, founder and artistic designer of the Majid Collection, and Iranian painter Maryam Lavaf, Persian Calligraphy has made its way into the "America's Next Master Artist Contest." The these two talented Iranians have created a fusion of Persian Calligraphy with abstract modern painting. Their piece has returned a huge attraction among Iranian and non-Iranian visitors, and it currently stands in 4th place out of over 1000 entries on a report from art.com! The contest is currently in the voting phase, and you can cast your votes until May 7th. Winners will be announced on May 14th.
