Iran's start midfielder, Javad Nekounam and his teammate Masoud Shojaei got their permission from Osasuna club to play against the five-times champions, Brazil.

Iran's 37-year-old veteran midfielder, Karim Bagheri is announcing his retirement in this match. Bagheri has played 86 times for Iran's national team and scored 50 goals including the famous 40 meters goal agains South Korea in the 2000 Asian Cup.
