Today, our beloved Dariush turns 60 years old. After being born in Tehran on February 4, 1951, Dariush spent much of his early years in Karaj and Kurdistan. His career took off when he appeared on television at the young age of 20. Since then, his work has transformed him into a superstar. In the past four decades, he has released over 200 songs and has starred in two hit films, “Yaran” and “Faryad Zire Ab”. 

At 60 years of age, Dariush is still one of the hardest working performers in the music industry. He has released two albums, Mojezeyeh Khamoosh and Donyaye In Roozaye Man, and eight music videos in the last two years. Currently, he is touring with Faramarz Aslani. He also spends much of his time raising awareness about substance abuse after his very publicized drug addiction. Let's hope he remains this active for years to come.
